Blackpink’s Jisoo becomes new Cartier ambassador

Jisoo has become the final member of globally famous K-pop band Blackpink to sign up as ambassador of a jewellery brand.

The 27-year-old South Korean singer, born Kim Ji-Soo, will henceforth be the face of jewellery and watch brand Cartier, featuring in many of its marketing campaigns.

She has also been ambassador for Dior’s beauty products since 2019 alongside the likes of Anya Taylor-Joy, Natalie Portman and Cara Delevingne.

Jisoo’s fellow band members have all been snapped up by rival jewellery brands in the last couple of years.

Rosé works with Tiffany & Co, while Jennie represents Chanel and Lisa is ambassador for Bulgari.

Arnaud Carrez, senior vice president of Cartier, said: “When we wanted to embody the magnetic aura of the panther, our attention was instinctively drawn to Jisoo.

“With her self-assured style she is the voice of a new generation of creatives who dare to show their different talents.

“She is an artist who takes on her role with great creative freedom, never limiting herself.”

Meanwhile, Jisoo herself added: “I’m so glad to be a part of Cartier’s grand journey.

“It’s truly an honour and pleasure for me to join the Panthère tribe, where everyone proves their strength of character.

“I can’t wait to share Panthère’s great beauty with everyone.”
